It started with someone close to home.

A decade ago, while studying in Miami, I noticed my grandfather was having more trouble hearing. Phone calls home often meant repeating myself two or three times. When a close friend told me his grandparents were going through the same thing, one question stayed with me: Why did getting a little help with hearing have to feel so difficult?

Too expensive. Too complicated. Too noticeable.

Traditional hearing aids could cost $2,000–$3,000, while appointments, fittings, and adjustments could make the process feel overwhelming.And for some people, wearing something noticeable can be another barrier.

We believed hearing support could be more approachable.

We started with the product.

In late 2024, I teamed up with two friends to turn that idea into something real.We reached out to more than a dozen manufacturers and worked with engineers through 20+ rounds of refinement, focusing on what mattered most:Sound. Comfort. Fit. Simplicity. Discreet design. Ten months later, Didasou introduced its first FDA-registered OTC hearing aid.
